Electric Fryers
Electric fryer not heating
If your fryer is not turning on - usually indicated by a green light - there could be an issue with the overheat stat. To reset find the reset button which is usually red button. The location for this varies so make sure to look around. Below is an example on a Lincat DF66
Electric fryer taking a while to heat
There are several reasons your fryer is taking a while to heat up.
Check the amber light is illuminated when you turn the temperature on.
Also check the oil level in the fryer and ensure it is not overfilled, as indicated on the back panel by the element.
Element will not stand up whilst cleaning
The elements on most electric fryers are designed to lift up and stay up whilst cleaning.
To stay up, there is a lip where the swinging support will rest. Ensure this area is clean and free from debris to allow a firm connection.

Water Boilers
Water Boiler not filling
If your water boiler is not filling (but is turned on) ensure the stop clock is in the 'open' position. If that is open, check the screen for the following indications.
On the right side the nozzle icon indicates the water boiler is filling. The left icon shows the water boiler is heating. If it is still not filling an engineer is required to investigate.
Water Boiler not hot enough / too hot
To adjust the temperature on the water boilers - press the "READY" button in the centre of the screen. Enter the Temperature menue and adjust the temperature to your desired temperature.
The ideal temperature is between 92 and 96 degrees.
Water Boiler not turning on
If your water boiler is not turning on, double check the plug socket is turned on. Verify the socket has power by plugging another appliance (like a hoover) into the plug and turning it on. If this does not work the socket does not have power.
If the alternative does work, check the fuse on the plug top. If it needs replacing - replace it with a new 13A fuse.
If not, call an engineer to investigate
